Emptying the gun safe

When my dad died, he left behind a collection of both handguns and hunting rifles. I had never fired a gun in my life. I was afraid to even pick up these firearms, let alone sell them. It was one of the most stressful aspects of post-death logistics for me.

Story time: I’m a regular listener of the Behind the Bastards podcast, and on a few episodes they’ve had Karl Kasarda as the guest. Karl is a leftist gun expert who runs the InRangeTV YouTube channel. A few months ago I reached out to him and asked whether he’d done a video about inheriting firearms.

He replied to say that he had not made a video about that topic, but that he’d like to do one with me.

And now here I am, talking about guns on the internet. Not the way in which I imagined I’d make my dad proud, but here we are! Many thanks to Karl, who also created the greatest thumbnail in the history of thumbnails for the video.
